food to land early in the trash
Vienna - Up to 166 000 tons of food to land, according to a study by the University of Natural Resources each year over Austria in the trash. Many of these dishes would have been even more enjoyable, criticized the Agency for Health and Food Safety (AGES) on Friday in a press release. One reason for this waste is often confusing term durability of the packaging.

this article I have read recently online standard.at on. For many people this will now be nothing really new. Could one but already in the documentary "We Feed the World " which experienced at least 200,000 Austrian've seen (as wiki.de), that every day in Vienna so much "not edible" Bread is disposed of, as will be bought every day in Graz . Frightening? The 166,000 tons, the study indicates the BOKU should be a shocker. On the street we have people who try to somehow make ends meet, and in parallel are tons of edible food thrown away? Something is not here yet?
The have also thought freegan (and act ...). Which feed on the land of food every day in the garbage can. Containers from supermarkets are popular sources. Not only is it free like, but also and above all, avoid the tendency, still edible throw counter, motivates the freegan. Unclear here is the legal aspect. I understand that part of the waste (in the case are often still good, although expired food) as soon as it is in the dumpster is the waste disposal company (eg MA48). But this would have any objection to have less residual waste? And if so, it would be morally wrong to prevent people from getting to eat from the container?
still important in defining a freegan to a homeless man. A homeless man eats from a dumpster because he probably can not afford otherwise. A freegan other hand latches onto wanted out of the economic cycle on moral grounds. Thus, the freegan are metamorphosing to the group of vegans, vegetarians also removes the (moral).
Such a freegan life would be for me, not really in question, but think the reaction to the destruction of foodstuffs correct and understandable. Rather, I would demand of a broad response gloablen policy (of whatever stripe) for more ethics in the food industry . Do Democracy takes the same time each individual's responsibility, therefore, carry more anger or opinion and educate people about abuse.
If you are interested to know more, you will find more.
What do you think that?
